Dear future host family,

My name is Lisa, I am 17 years old and come from Germany. I am a very sporty and active person who loves being outdoors, traveling, cooking – and above all, spending time with children and animals.

Since I was a child, I have dreamed of going abroad as an au pair. My year abroad in Canada (between the ages of 14 and 15) in particular strengthened my enthusiasm for other cultures and ways of life. I find it fascinating how different and yet similar people all over the world live. Before I start studying, I would like to use this special time to develop myself, broaden my horizons, and gain valuable experience.

Children mean so much to me. I have many younger cousins ​​myself, whom I regularly look after. This has taught me to be patient, creative, and empathetic. Since I was little, I've loved playing with small children and helping wherever I can—whether it's playing, crafting, reading aloud, or putting them to bed. I've been telling everyone for years how excited I am for the day I'll have children of my own.

I'm responsible, tidy, and very open to new things. I don't just enjoy working with children; I do it wholeheartedly. I'm reliable, helpful, and quickly connect with them in a loving way—whether it's cooking together, playing games, or doing homework.

I'm very much looking forward to becoming a part of your family, supporting you in your daily life, and accompanying your children on their journey. At the same time, I would be delighted to get to know your culture, your language, and your family life—and, of course, to bring a bit of my own culture with me.
