Letter to the family

Hi! I am a university student studying a bachelor of Laws / Commerce at the University of Queensland planning to defer my degree and become an Au Pair for 4-5 months at the beginning of 2025.

I am keen to become an Au Pair because I love being around children and contributing positively to their development. I would love the opportunity to experience a new culture as an Aussie and share my own too. I have a positive can-do attitude and love to give new things a try.

I have 4 months experience working in child care looking after kids aged 6 months - 5 years old, and am very responsible when it comes to caring for children. I have experience changing nappies, feeding children, playing with them in a sensible manner and in ensuring every kid feels valued, loved and confident in themselves.

I achieved a 99.3 ATAR in my year 12 studies (out of 99.95) and can tutor in all generic subjects (English and Maths ect) if required. I also have experience cleaning in retail and hospitality environments.

Experience

I would love to become an Au Pair abroad because I am keen to seek out a new adventure and experience a different culture by moving overseas. I have lived in Australia my whole life and am itching for adventure. At the same time, I love childcare and believe my friendly, responsible and organised personality would mean that I would be a great fit to be an Au Pair for a family.
