Letter to the family

To whom it may concern,

whilst I have no expectations as this is a new concept for me, I do wish to be around people that are fun and easy going and would like to be with a family that wishes that same experience for their children.
Though I am laid back, I have never been shy of setting boundaries for myself and others, a quality largely derived from both my upbringing and my time in the Royal Marine Cadets.

I would like to provide a joyful experience for any children I take care of as well as working closely with parents to ensure everyone experiences the best outcome possible.

Thanks for reading through my profile and I hope to hear from you soon.

Experience

My first experience of full childcare was at the age of 15. In my neighbourhood at the time, I was known to be the local babysitter and would take care of children aged between 4-8 years old, this lasted until I turned 18 and left the country to move to Switzerland. I was living in Switzerland over a period of 4 months and taking care of my brothers' children, a girl and boy aged 4 and 1 at the time. This helped teach me how crucial proper childcare is and how to manage an array of difficult situations, from ensuring harmony between the two siblings, to multi-tasking in the form of cooking everything whilst making sure the children were safe.

Since then, I have been helping during arts classes run here in Bristol. These classes involve children aged 6-12 and my role is to help with any cutting/painting/gluing necessary as well as keeping everything tidy. I am also a qualified lifeguard so if anything were to happen, I am the on scene medic.
