Letter to the family

My name is Issy, and I'm 17 years old! I live in Bristol with my parents and my cat, known for Banksy and its famous harbourside. In my free time, I am part of a drama club, I work part-time in a department store, and I play sports. I study English, French, and Politics in college in Bristol, and I plan on taking Modern Languages at University in the UK!

I would like to become an Au Pair/Live-in Help for Seniors because my primary goal in life is to be able to travel as much as possible and get to know different languages and cultures. Growing up, I frequently spoke to my best friend's Au Pair and remember vividly how rewarding and fun she described the job. I enjoy working with and helping people, as I would describe myself as a warm and sociable person, and have especially enjoyed care work I have done through babysitting and child-minding, as I thrive best in an environment with other people, and my personality definitely helps me blend in with families easily.

Experience

I've been babysitting for over two years, including child-minding a girl with special needs and helping with outings, cooking, and housework. I have worked in retail for 2+ years too, which has given me lots of experience in managing people and responsibilities. In my home, I help out often around the house and I would consider myself to be very tidy and helpful in managing my household responsibilities. Before her passing in 2019, I would spend a lot of time with my grandma, and would always be helping her with gardening, shopping, and generally spending time with her. Furthermore, although I am an only child, I have grown up with a close relationship with friends of the family younger than me, and before starting babysitting, I have helped out with younger children for as long as I can remember. I would like to be an Au-Pair to spend time in another country, immerse myself fully in the culture, and expand my personal life skills before university. My passion for languages and people could make me a great fit for your family!
