Dear Host Family,

My name is Julia, and I’m so excited about the opportunity to become part of your family as an au pair. I’m 22 years old and originally from Spain. I have lived in two countries in less than a year thanks to Erasmus, so I am a traveler that loves learning about countries and new cultures. I’m a friendly, responsible, and open-minded person who truly enjoys spending time with children and helping them grow, learn, and have fun.

I have experience caring for children of different ages, both within my own family and through taking care of others, and also working with them, I have been working with kids since I was 15, I love them with all my heart. Last year I worked with special needs kids in my hometown, and this summer (2025) I am leaving to New York to work in a camp as a camp counselor. Whether it’s helping with homework, organizing creative activities, or simply being a supportive and kind presence, I always aim to create a safe, joyful, and engaging environment for kids.

In addition to childcare, I’m happy to help with light household tasks and am always eager to learn about new cultures and ways of life. I believe being an au pair is not just a job, but a meaningful cultural exchange and a chance to build a genuine connection with a family.

I speak English fluently, basic german although I understand a lot of it even if I don't speak it, and I also speak Portuguese. I’m also open to improving or learning a new language while staying with you. In my free time, I enjoy spending time in nature, listening to music, travel, painting, dancing, playing basketball, crafting... I am a very creative person and I study a degree that has a lot of arts so I love to make manual things.
