Dear future host family,
My name is Gabriela, and I’m thrilled to have this opportunity to introduce myself to you and your family.

I’m 24 years old and currently living in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil. One of the things I’m most proud of is my extensive experience with children from 3 to 12 years, totaling over 20,000 hours and with babies from 0 to 2 years, totaling over 6,000 hours. Much of this comes from helping care for my younger brother, who is 8 years old. Supporting him as he grows has been a rewarding journey that has taught me so much about patience, creativity, and the joys of childhood.

I’m also a confident and responsible driver with a clean record, which I know is an important part of helping with the daily routines and ensuring the kids’ safety.

In my free time, I love learning about new cultures and exploring different perspectives. It’s one of the reasons I’m so excited about this program—immersing myself in your family’s culture will be a dream come true. I also value family time deeply and am happiest when surrounded by loved ones, sharing meals, stories, and laughter.

Creativity is another big part of who I am. I enjoy coming up with fun and educational activities for children, whether it’s arts and crafts, storytelling, or games that encourage their imagination.

Experience

I want to be an au pair because I love working with children and being part of their growth, but I’m also passionate about discovering new cultures and places. This experience combines two of my biggest interests: building meaningful bonds with children and learning about life in a new environment.
