Hi! I’m building a company to improve the educational value of childcare and build the next evolution of the childcare profession. Our Cape Town-based partner organization has already proven the effectiveness of their Montessori-based training for ECD teachers, and now we hope to adapt that method and prove the effectiveness for an in-home context, particularly for children ages 0-6.

I am graduating from Harvard’s Graduate School of Education in May, and I plan to go through our company’s evidence-based childcare training from June-August and become certified, along with our first cohort of our new childcare workforce. (I am also a certified English teacher through International TEFL Academy.)

Since I will be launching the product for parents in Cape Town in October, becoming an “Au Pair” in your home allows me to 1) spend time with children, which I love! 2) gain first-hand experience working as a childcare professional certified through my company 3) get direct feedback from you, the parent, to improve the product and 4) immerse myself in Cape Town in a way I couldn’t if I just moved there on my own!

My timeline is end of September/october - January (4 months) and I will need to be within driving distance of Somerset West (I will be sure to acquire a car for the time I am there!).
