Letter to the family

Hi! I'm Lucero , I'm 26 years old and I'm from Campeche, México. I graduate as an agronomist and right now I'm working in the program Jóvenes Construyendo el Futuro in an investigation center in Campeche. I recently found out about the Au Pair program and I think is a great oportunity for me because I want to improve my english, I'm sorry if this has misspellings.
I think I qualifie for the position because althought I don't have a lot of experience taking care of children I know that growing up a child is one of the hardest tasks, it takes a lot of responsibility and attention, my mom always taught us the importance of being responsible and to always put your best efford in whatever you are doing, so I grew up with those qualities that are very important for being an Au Pair.
I describe myself as a nice, calm, kind and hard-working person. My interests are photography and gardening. I also enjoy of watching movies, solving puzzles, running, singing and dancing.
I'm very organized and I'm good with the house cleaning. I can cook, I don't have a lot of experience but generally the food tastes good.
I also love animals so if you have pets I promise to take care of them.
I'm going to take first aid courses in February.

Experience

Taking care of my nephew was one of the most enriching experiences in child care. My sister was and is a hard-working single mom that needed a person to help her to take care of her son while she was at work, I didn't have a job at the time so she asked me and I accepted. I started taking care of my nephew when he was 2 years old, from 7am to 5 pm, from Monday to Friday. My activities included woke him up, changing his diaper and clothes, give him milk, playing with him, feeding him and bathe him. Other activities included washing his clothes and cleaning his bedroom. My nephew was really active, he loved running around the house and nothing was entertaining for him, I like to say that he was my personal trainer, I lost a lot of weight chasing him around, watching that he did'nt get hurt or throw something. We also used to sing and dance. While he started growing, he started to take interest in toys, he loved animals, so we played long hours with them. One of the things that I'm proud to say is that I helped my nephew to learn the name of more than 50 animals in spanish and english and that I got him to eat something else than milk. When he turned three I got a job so I had to stop taking care of him. Taking care of my nephew was one of the most pleasant, entertaining and exhausting experiences I've had, but I really enjoyed.
Recently, I participated giving talks about the importance of stingless bees in the environment in schools of all educational levels.
