Hi dear host family✨
I’m Melissa, I’m 22 years old, and I live in Campina Grande - Brazil.

So caring for children has always felt natural and meaningful to me. I truly enjoy spending time with kids – their creativity, curiosity, and honesty inspire me. I’ve always been surrounded by children in my big family, and I’ve had experience taking care of them during family gatherings and even professionally, which taught me a lot about patience, responsibility, and how to be a positive role model.

Becoming an au pair is more than just a job to me – it’s a dream. I want to be part of a host family’s daily life, building a strong bond with the children and supporting them as they grow. I believe the au pair experience is a beautiful exchange: I get to share my culture and learn deeply about another culture, language, and lifestyle. Living with a host family would help me grow as a person, and I hope to bring joy, love, and a helping hand to their home.

I’d also be happy to help with some light household tasks and I’m always available to lend a hand in the kitchen – cooking is one of the ways I show care and connect with others.

I want this experience to be about connection, learning, and creating memories that we’ll all carry forever.

Experience

I have always loved being around children. During college, I worked as a nanny for Isabela, the daughter of Luciana, who is my mother’s business partner. I took care of Isabela for four years, and it was a truly special experience that taught me a lot about patience, responsibility, and how to create a safe and fun environment for a child. I also have many little cousins that I’ve helped take care of throughout the years. I’m often the favorite cousin at family events because I truly enjoy playing, teaching, and spending time with kids.

Becoming an Au Pair abroad is a dream for me, not only because I enjoy childcare, but also because I see it as an incredible opportunity for personal growth. I want to immerse myself in a new culture, improve my language skills, and build a special bond with a host family. I believe this experience will help me become more independent, adaptable, and open-minded.

I’m responsible, kind, and always try to make the environment lighter and more joyful. I look forward to sharing my culture while learning from yours and being a positive part of your family’s daily life.
