Dear Host Family,

My name is Sarah, I’m 18 years old, and I come from a multicultural background—Spanish, British, and Venezuelan. I grew up in England for ten years, and later finished my studies in Venezuela, which gave me the opportunity to develop fluency in both English and Spanish, and I’ve recently spent a year in France working as an AuPair in Saint-Cloud with a family of four. There, I helped the two boys improve their English skills as well as teaching them Spanish. After a positive experience with my host family, I’ve confirmed how much I enjoy intercultural exchanges and teaching languages.

This September, I will begin studying Global Studies at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. Since I’ll be supporting myself while studying full time, I am looking for a position as an au pair or live-in tutor with a family that is focused more on language exchange and educational support, rather than household chores. Ideally, I would love to be with a French-speaking family so I can continue improving my French while helping your children grow in their English or Spanish skills.

I am available to start in August/September and would love to find a family looking for a 6- to 12-month commitment.

You might consider hosting me because I bring previous au pair experience, a passion for teaching languages, and a genuine love for working with children. I’m responsible, patient, and adaptable, as well as being fluent in English, Spanish, and French. I also create fun, engaging ways for children to learn and grow.
