Letter to the family

Dear Family,

My name is Sofia, I am 19 years old, and I am from Venezuela. Currently, I am studying architecture at the Universidad Catolica Andrés Bello and am eager to live a culturally enriching experience while contributing to the care of your children.

For some time now, I have had the opportunity to work with children in various capacities. From 2021 to 2023 I taught public speaking and leadership abilities to 10-13 year old children. In 2024 I volunteered as a missionary in a NGO here in Venezuela, where I helped organize recreational activities while visiting the marginalized children in poor regions of the country. I have regularly cared for my younger cousins, teaching them Spanish and English. All that has allowed me to develop patience, empathy, and problem-solving skills.

My native language is Spanish, but I also speak advanced English , and I'm currently learning French. I am very excited about the opportunity to improve my language skills and learn more about your culture. I consider myself a responsible, caring, and adaptable person, qualities I believe are essential for creating a safe and positive environment.

In addition, I enjoy reading, painting and playing sports such as soccer and volleyball. I am more than willing to assist with household tasks related to the children and adapt to your family’s routines to ensure a harmonious living environment.
