Hey, I’m Sarah !

I’m a recent criminology university graduate, living in the United Kingdom.

My motivations to be an au pair is that I love taking care of kids & I have great ability to do so. I am the oldest of 4 kids, and have spent my life taking care of my brothers. I’m first aid trained and believe the child’s safety is the most important thing.

Experience

I have experience in the U.K working as a baby sitter for 2 boys aged 4 and 7 years old, here I was a part-time nanny, looking after the boys 5 days a week, from 8:30-5pm, while the mother was in university. My roles here would be to wake the boys up for breakfast, cook for them, take them to school and during the holidays take them to do activities in the park, or go to the cinema or a restaurant for the day.

I have experience also working as an English tutor/ camp counsellor in Los Angeles, America. In 2023, for 6 weeks I worked with children ages 7-17 . Here my role was to wake them up in the day, escort them to the breakfast/lunch/dinner hall, and then chaperone them to English lessons. 2 days of the week we would take the kids on excursions around Los Angeles. I would have to be mindful of safety and security. I ensured all the physical and emotional needs of the children to be met.
