Letter to the family

I am an enthusiastic and energetic 24-year-old, who loves to travel and has lived on three different continents. I grew up mainly in Ireland on a farm with horses and sheep, and a few dogs, cats, and chickens. When I was 18, I moved to New Zealand to pursue a Screen Arts degree, majoring in Animation. Since returning home to Ireland, I have been working in a Creche as an Afterschool Practitioner. There, my duties are to look after and organise activities for children between the ages of 4-12 years old.

Experience

I have been learning french since I began secondary school aged 12 years old. I first visited France for a two-week exchange when was 17, which was when I became more focused on wanting to get better at french. Since then, I have been visiting France more and more. During the summer of 2020, I stayed in France for two months. My goal is to spend as much time as possible in France in order to become fluent. My girlfriend is french, and I think it is important that I am able to speak well in her native language. As I intend to become a primary school teacher, I would like to continue to gain as much experience working with children as possible before I begin my studies.
