Letter to the family

Originally translated from Italiano
Good morning!
My name is Silvia, I am Italian, from Bologna.
I graduated in Foreign Languages and Literatures (French and English) at the University of Bologna.
I love the studies I did and I am proud of the Degree I obtained!
Let's say I didn't take full advantage of it. However, I worked as a teacher of French, English, Italian, Italian L2 in different contexts (schools and companies, private courses), I was an Educator in Nursery Schools and Kindergartens in my city, I have experience as a translator and interpreter, educator-teacher in an after-school program. I LOVE TRAVELING AND WORKING ABROAD, because here I really have the concrete possibility of using the languages I studied, which I love as much as my own. I am happy, moved and proud when in France or England/Ireland (countries where I have often been both as a tourist and as a student) people ask me if I am a native speaker...WOW :-)
I recognize myself and they recognize my gift for being in contact with people, especially children/teens but also adults and the elderly!
I am very sociable, helpful, a great storyteller (I read a lot, of everything, and I have written some short stories that have been published), enthusiastic, positive and optimistic by nature: I always see the glass half full, rather than half empty. I do not deny that many people, even close to me, have disappointed and hurt me, and often brought me down with their granite pessimism. YET I AM HERE.
I am separated, I have a son who is almost 22 years old and who studies Law in Bologna.
I don't want to be presumptuous by saying "I'm sure that the family that should host me...", I prefer to say that I strongly believe that the family that will host me/could or should host me, will be happy to have a person like me that they can count on with great trust. Obviously, I'm human too, with my ups and downs, strengths and weaknesses, and of course I wasn't! But I feel like I can say, in all sincerity and confidence, that I am a RELIABLE person.

Experience

Originally translated from Italiano
I have been a nanny for children as a girl and as an adult. In recent years I have dedicated myself mainly to private lessons.
At 19 I went to London for a month, to my cousin's house: not only did I attend two English courses, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, so I had the opportunity to meet boys and girls from all over the world, but I also babysat the 5-6 year old son of my cousin's friends. I still remember it as a fantastic month and a wonderful life experience: I almost didn't want to go back to Italy, but I had just enrolled at the University and I wanted to complete this commitment. Later, in Bologna, I babysat but above all I gave private lessons to pay for my university studies.
While teaching, I have always felt great empathy towards the students, young and old, that I have followed, both in the public and private sectors.
The elderly: I cannot say that I have experience as a carer, assistant or anything else. I would be making a big lie! And as the niece of a Lawyer like me, I really can't afford it :-)
Here, however. Speaking of my aunt, "Lawyer ", as everyone called her: I assisted her in the last two years of her life as Legal Administrator. A truly demanding experience at all levels and in all senses, but one that has truly enriched me a lot and that I will carry with me forever.
Furthermore, after I separated, I am temporarily living at my mother's house. So, in addition to being her daughter, I can say without fear of being contradicted that I am also her caregiver/assistant/domestic worker.
