My name is Silvia, I am Italian, from Bologna.
I graduated in Foreign Languages ​​and Literatures (French and English) at the University of Bologna.
I love the studies I did and I am proud of the Degree I obtained!
Let's say I didn't take full advantage of it. However, I worked as a teacher of French, English, Italian, Italian L2 in different contexts (schools and companies, private courses), I was an Educator in Nursery Schools and Kindergartens in my city, I have experience as a translator and interpreter, educator-teacher in an after-school program. I LOVE TRAVELING AND WORKING ABROAD, because here I really have the concrete possibility of using the languages ​​I studied, which I love as much as my own. I am happy, moved and proud when in France or England/Ireland (countries where I have often been both as a tourist and as a student) people ask me if I am a native speaker...WOW :-)
I recognize myself and they recognize my gift for being in contact with people, especially children/teens but also adults and the elderly!
I am very sociable, helpful, a great storyteller (I read a lot, of everything, and I have written some short stories that have been published), enthusiastic, positive and optimistic by nature: I always see the glass half full, rather than half empty. I do not deny that many people, even close to me, have disappointed and hurt me, and often brought me down with their granite pessimism. YET I AM HERE.
I am separated, I have a son who is almost 22 years old and who studies Law in Bologna.
I don't want to be presumptuous by saying "I'm sure that the family that should host me...", I prefer to say that I strongly believe that the family that will host me/could or should host me, will be happy to have a person like me that they can count on with great trust. Obviously, I'm human too, with my ups and downs, strengths and weaknesses, and of course I wasn't! But I feel like I can say, in all sincerity and confidence, that I am a RELIABLE person.
