Carlotta (26 / Ms. ), Italian, Teacher living in Italy looking for Au Pair job in USA for 12-24 Months

I was lucky enough to realize from a young age what I wanted to be as a grown up. So now I’m a primary school teacher! I attend Primary Education Sciences at Alma Mater Studiorum in Bologna, the first university in the western world. I studied psychology, pedagogy, teaching methodology..

I love my work and when I say “I’m lucky” it’s also because I turned my passion into my job. I volunteer with foreign children who come to Italy with their families, looking for a better future.

I’ve always been attracted to different cultures, that’s why I’ve traveled a lot in Europe and visited two countries in Africa. In 2019 I lived in Spain where I learnt Spanish and I started to speak English with foreign people I met there. I’m studying German and I started an Arabic course that was unfortunately canceled due to covid.

Now I feel that it’s time to broaden my horizons, to meet new cultures in a completely different situation. With another year abroad I would like to improve my skills: language, social and personal ones.

I cannot say exactly what I wanna teach or do with my host kids, it depends on their specific peculiarities. But in general, I would like to spend a great time together, teaching each other. I would love to stay in an atmosphere where you can joke and have fun together.
