Dear Future Host Family,

My name is Athena, and I’m a college graduate based in the United States. I have a strong foundation in providing compassionate care to individuals across all ages and backgrounds, I’m excited to take the next step and become an Au Pair & Nanny abroad.

I’ve always had a deep love for travel, cultural exchange, and working with people. Becoming an Au Pair allows me to combine all of those passions while growing personally and professionally. I am especially drawn to the idea of becoming part of a family and supporting your children not just with daily routines, but also with meaningful learning, creativity, and fun. With experience in healthcare and customer-facing roles, I’ve developed patience, adaptability, and a nurturing spirit that I believe are essential in creating a safe and joyful environment for kids.

Experience

I have experience caring for children in both personal and professional settings. As a Patient Care Technician, I’ve supported people of all ages, including children, by helping them feel safe, comfortable, and heard. I’ve also cared for my younger family members, including babysitting and helping with schoolwork, meals, and daily routines. I have been babysitting for over 7 years professionally with experience with children as young as 2 weeks old. These experiences have helped me develop patience, creativity, and a strong sense of responsibility.

I would love to become an Au Pair & Nanny abroad because it combines my passion for caregiving with my love of travel and cultural exchange. I believe that working with children in a new country will help me grow both personally and professionally. It’s an opportunity to become part of a new family, experience everyday life in a different culture, and support children’s growth while learning from them as well.
