hi! my name is jametria, but feel free to call me j or jay — whichever feels more natural. i'm currently a college student in the u.s. studying environmental science and special education with minors in sustainability and accounting (yes, a lil bit of everything!). i’m fluent in english, spanish, and tagalog, and i’m passionate about people, cultures, learning, and helping kids grow into the best version of themselves.

i’m reaching out because i’d love to become your au pair this summer! i’ve always had a heart for children and new experiences, and au pairing feels like the perfect way to combine both. being immersed in a different country, learning how your family lives, supports, and loves one another — it sounds beautiful to me. more than just helping with childcare, i want to become part of your family’s day-to-day rhythm and bring a little extra joy, patience, and energy into your home.

you should host me because i show up fully and wholeheartedly. i’m adaptable, kind, responsible, and fun (think dance parties during clean-up time and nature scavenger hunts!). i’ve had experience working with children across different ages and abilities, especially in inclusive educational environments, which means i can cater to various needs with care and creativity. plus, being away from home won’t make me homesick — it makes me more excited to bring a piece of my world into yours and learn from yours in return.

what qualifies me? i’ve been a reliable caretaker, tutor, and role model for kids in my community for years. i know how to balance safety, fun, and learning — and i genuinely enjoy doing it. also, being neurodiverse myself has taught me to be empathetic, flexible, and super patient — traits that go a long way when you’re working with little ones.
