* update: I have found a host family, thank you. My name is Madeline, I come from South Carolina, USA. I have lived in the USA my whole life and have always wanted to explore. I have some friends in Boredeaux, FR and Leipzig, Germany. I really want to explore all over Europe. I have been to Germany and Prague and plan to go to Croatia this summer. I think I would be a great au pair because I have helped raise many children in my family starting from a very young age. My first niece is one of my best friends, she is almost 6 years old and one of the smartest students in her class. I taught her how to talk and walk as well as many other things. She loves when I teach her about things, she is so driven to learn. I am young and able to do activities with children. I love doing things outside such as fishing, swimming, playing sports and I also love doing arts and crafts.

Experience

I helped raise both of my nieces while living with my sisters and caring for their children while they worked. When I was 16, I went to school 5 days each week, worked a job 5 days each week, went to driving school 3 days each week and babysat 2 days each week. I have always had a job and have always been very independent. I have worked as a summer camp counselor and worked with groups of children as big as 20 all alone. I had a great time with the kids, I worked with many different age groups. I think an online tutor would be great as well because it would allow me to have a little bit more free time to explore and I am fluent in English and am learning German every day. I think I would be a great English tutor in person or online to any ages.
