Hi my name is Amanda and am 18 years old. I currently work as a caregiver to a 17 year old with autism and I have a lot of experience with kids of all ages and working with special needs. I would love to find a family that I can have a relationship with and be more than just a nanny to. I haven't really traveled at all and I think this would be an amazing opportunity to see the world and get immersed in other cultures before I go back to college.

Experience

I have worked with a lot of elderly individuals because I spent 3 years as a camp counselor at a camp for special needs and many of our campers that we cared for were older. There we were responsible for not only being a friend/ counselor to them but also a caregiver as well. I would love to become a Au Pair and caregiver for elderly abroad because I haven't really traveled at all and I think this would be an opportunity to see the world and get immersed in other cultures before I go back to college. I feel in this position I would be able to learn about the local culture from someone who has lived in it for awhile and can be an influence to me.
