Dear Host Families,

My name is Elayna, I’m 21 years old and I am from Minnesota. I’ve been working with children since I was 15. I started coaching gymnastics then and still do today. For the past 3.5 years, I’ve also worked as a lead infant teacher. I recently earned my bachelor’s degree in Child Development, and working with children continues to be one of my greatest passions.

I want to become an Au Pair & Nanny because I’m eager to explore the world and experience new cultures in a meaningful way. Living with a host family and caring for their children is a wonderful opportunity to learn and grow while doing what I love most.

I believe I’d be a great fit for your family because I’m experienced, dependable, and genuinely love working with kids. I bring a strong understanding of child development, lots of hands-on experience, and a warm, engaging approach to caregiving.

Experience

I began working as a gymnastics coach at age 15. I typically coach children ages 2-12 the basic skills and knowledge of gymnastics. I have been working in childcare for the last 3.5 years. I work with infants ages 6 weeks through 18 months. I absolutely love watching the infants grow and hit new milestones. In the evenings and weekends I do occasional babysitting and over night nannying for families as well so parents can have fun nights out. I hold my bachelors degree in Child Learning and Development, and I am also CPR and First Aid certified. I believe that living with a host family offers a truly immersive experience where I can learn different ways of life, traditions, and languages while also sharing my own background. It’s a meaningful way to grow personally and professionally, and I’m excited to build real connections while supporting a family in their day-to-day life.
