Céilí (21 / Ms. ), Irish, Student - Art / Commerce / Management living in Ireland looking for Au Pair & Nanny job in France, Italy, Spain, Sweden & Switzerland for 2-2 Months

Hello!
My name is Céilí and I am a graduate student from University College Cork, Ireland.
I majored in English Language and Literature for 3 years in university so that I could become an English teacher.
I have had an interest in teaching children and working with children since I was a very young girl and I absolutely love working with children.
This year I decided to take a year out from my studies to gain some more experience abroad and to strengthen my understanding of young people before I begin my masters degree in teaching in September 2025.
I have had many different jobs since the age of 16, but the one which I feel qualifies me for this kind of job is as follows:
When I was 19 years old, I had the privilege of becoming a carer for my elderly grandmother 4 days per week. Although it was challenging as she was very unwell, it was the best experience I could ever ask for.
It was an experience that really matured me at a young age as her life and safety depended on me, and I learned a lot about caring for those who can not care for themselves and how important it is to always be alert and ready for anything.
I was in charge of her meal times and her special diet, administering and remembering medicine, helping her to the bathroom, washing, feeding and entertaining her for 12 hours of the day. She was my best friend and I was her carer for a full year until she sadly passed away in June of 2023.
I learned so much about how important it is to always listen to those you are caring for and how important it is to try to understand their feelings or discomfort in any case. This experience is what I feel qualifies me to take care of children as I am mature and understanding while I also love to have fun and have a laugh. Although my grandmother was an elderly woman, I feel that the same things apply to children and teenagers. They need someone who will be alert and ready, someone who will always listen and try to understand the way that they see the world and someone who will keep them safe at all times and take care of them and any special requirements they may have.
