To my future host family,

My name is Emanuelle, I'm almost 18 years old and I want to fulfill my life's dream: to become an au pair. I'm studying Pharmacy Assistant Technician at the Professional School of Aveiro. Now in my second year, my studies are exciting and give me the courage every day to believe in my dreams and hope to become a good healthcare professional one day.

However, despite my academic development, I have had the desire and need for many years to travel, to discover the world and its cultures, which naturally led me to consider the experience of an au pair. Indeed, I would like to discover a new culture and be fully immersed in it, so what better way than to join a typical family in the area? Being a very “family” girl, loving children, I am convinced that the au pair experience is made for me because, in addition to taking care of your children, giving them the love and security of a big sister, they also will bring me a lot of joy and affection, something essential that I'm looking for to enjoy this trip in the best possible way.

Regarding the reasons for choosing me, but also my qualifications for this position, I think I can relate the two. I grew up in a lively and loving family where, being the youngest, I received a lot of love and affection that now I will have the opportunity to give to the children in the same way, I was able to take care of cousins, nephews and children of family friends throughout my life. From all these beautiful and enriching experiences, my attachment to the children only grew, but also to everything that encompasses their development. For example, doing chores around the house is something I love to do, as well as helping the kids with their homework or just spending time with them talking or playing. In addition to being a student of auxiliary pharmacy services, I've been trained by the National Firefighters of Portugal for immediate first aid actions if necessary.

In addition to the children I will be looking after, I am fully aware that my role will not be limited to that, as I will also have to find my place with you, their parents. At this point, it's also something I'm looking forward to.
