Letter to the family

Hello! My name is Sophie, and I am looking for an Au Pair job during my gap year in college. I have completed one year at Eckerd College in Florida, and ended my Spring semester with a 4.0 GPA. I am choosing to take a break from school this year to travel and gain experiences that will help me to grow as a person. I can speak enough Spanish to get my point across to another person. I have learned most of what I know in a classroom and have little experience speaking conversational Spanish. I love children and have regularly taken care of two little angels for the past three years. I am CPR certified and lifeguard certified. I would like to use this experience to improve my Spanish, form deep connections with new people, and experience life in another country.

Experience

I have been taking care of children for seven years, and have been nannying two children regularly for the past three. I would like to become an Au Pair so that I can experience living in another country, not as a tourist, but as if it were actually my home and I would like to improve my Spanish. I greatly enjoy being around children and I hope to bring a positive influence to them whenever possible. Children appreciate and notice the things that adults tend to overlook, spending time with children reminds me to appreciate the simple and beautiful aspects of life.
