While I haven’t officially worked as an au pair yet, I have lots of experience caring for children. I’ve helped look after my younger cousins and the children of family friends, and I’ve always enjoyed spending time with them—whether it's playing, helping with schoolwork, or just being a patient, positive presence. Working at an ice cream parlor during high school also gave me daily experience interacting with children and teens, helping me develop strong communication skills and the ability to stay calm, friendly, and responsible in a busy environment.

I want to become an au pair because I love working with kids and I want to experience life in a new culture from within a family. I’m excited about the opportunity to be part of a household, help children learn and grow, and share my own culture while learning from theirs. Living abroad as an au pair is a unique way to make meaningful connections and support others while also growing as a person.
