Dear Host Family,

My name is Lilith, I am from Germany, and I am currently completing my “Fachabitur” (advanced technical college entrance qualification) alongside a one-year internship at a Waldorf nursery. Working closely with young children in this nurturing environment has inspired me to take the next step and become an Au Pair abroad.

I want to become an Au Pair because I truly enjoy spending time with children, supporting their development, and learning from their unique perspectives. I also look forward to experiencing a new culture, improving my English, and becoming a part of your family.

You should host me because I am reliable, kind, and have a lot of experience working with children of different ages. Through my internship, I have learned how to handle daily routines, engage in creative activities, and respond to children’s emotional needs with patience and care. I also love being active — I enjoy sports and would be happy to share that joy with your children through play and outdoor activities.

Experience

During my one-year internship at a Waldorf nursery in Germany, I gained a lot of valuable experience working with young children. I learned not only how to support them in their daily routines, but also how important it is to see and respect each child as a unique individual — something I really appreciate about the Waldorf educational approach. This time deepened my love for working with children and showed me how meaningful and fulfilling this kind of work can be.

That’s why I would love to become an Au Pair abroad. I enjoy spending time with children, helping them grow, and learning from them, too. At the same time, I’m excited about the opportunity to live in a new city — ideally in Toronto — and to get to know the culture, the people, and everyday life in Canada. I believe spending a year abroad as an Au Pair will help me grow both personally and professionally, and I’m very motivated to make the most of this experience.
