Letter to the family

Dear future host Family,

I would love to become your next Au Pair because I love children and enjoy spending time with them. I am prepared and am well aware that being like a big sister for your children comes with responsibilities for them, and it will not always be just played and fun. My calm and patient personality will help me master more challenging situations, such as when the kids are tired or don’t want to listen to me.

Living with me is easy as I am not a demanding person. I respect that the house is your house and that I have to follow your house rules. If something works not quite as it should, I prefer to talk instead of ignoring things.

My parents are farmers in the Philippines growing rice and banana as our main source of income. My sister is in New Zealand working as a Credit Controller. My friends are also busy with their own separate lives as they started building their own family and I am happy for them.

Last 2019, I got my Bachelors's Degree in Finance, and after that, I worked as a Business Development Associate for almost nine months before the pandemic hit the country. As for my recent job, I work as a Virtual Branding Assistant in a US-based Company, and my contract ended. Right now im in Europe (Norway) for my aupairing as well, studying language, taking care of the kids. My contract will end on november 2024 so im looking for a new host if ever I get chosen.

Experience

As for my experience with taking care of the children, I can say that I have all the qualifications, as I am well equipped, with all my experiences in taking care of my nephews, cousins, and neighbors' kids. As an aupair here in Sweden, my daily schedule here, is to prepare them breakfast, do their laundry, drive them off to school. When they get back to home, I would teach them how to write and count. We would go ice skating, playing and other stuff. At the age of eighteen, I liked the idea of playing all day and getting paid for it. In this profession you learn very quickly that its not all just playing.

In aupairing you can go through a lot of different emotions. One minute your getting warm hugs and kind words. Then at the blink of an eye you have two children screaming at each other because the one child put a toy down and now another child has it and the first child wants it back because the other child is now playing with it. Confusing yep, but that is the mind of kids. They are in the moment and nothing else matters - in short, they are just being a kid! I know caring for a child can be the most challenging job in the world. You have someone depending on you, and there are many responsibilities involved. Taking care of children requires discipline, protection, love, along patience. To have a child is a pure blessing.

I have always dreamed of enriching my life with an around-the-world travel experience - not only for a quick vacation but to spend considerable time enough to have an immersive in-country experience. This will help me see the world from a perspective alternative to the one I have grown up with, and since I love working with kids, being an au pair will be a great way to do both.Other country is undoubtedly interest me. With a beautiful country with a friendly vibe, picturesque view, breath-taking city lights and it is known for its high quality of life. To be an Au Pair in your country will not only allow me to explore its beautiful nature, but it will also enable me to have an organic cross-cultural awareness and develop cultural sensitivity, have an insight into a different lifestyle, get to learn a new language, meet new people and make lifelong friends.
