Letter to the family

Hello everyone!
My name is Elsa, I am 19 years old and I am from the soccer city Dortmund in Germany.
I would consider myself as a very outgoing, fun and spontaneous person, who is always down for an adventure. My friends call me sunny, because of my constant good mood and my stubborn laugh.

I grew up in a big family, whose highest priority has always been traveling. No matter how long the holidays were and how far we were going, as long as my family and I were able to experience a new part of the world, the trip was worth it. (Plus..I believe it is a blessing to be able to travel around the world and experience all kinds of different lifestyles)

Last but not least, I have a lot of experience working with children. I started babysitting my younger cousins at the age of 12 and still enjoy to take care of them today around 3 times a week. Furthermore, I am currently tutoring two sixth graders and help them with their daily life routines such as cleaning their room, doing their homework or teaching them how to cook easy meals.

I would love to challenge myself to dive under the surface and get to know a completly new surrounding, different cultures as well as diverse lifestyles and most importantly great people and a second family!

Thx for reading my description and hopefully see you soon :)

Experience

Since I grew up in a big family, I learned at an early age how to take care of one another. Even tho its not always easy to have two older brothers, I am glad I have them. They taught me how to be tough and trained me in all kinds of sports.

My mom and me are super close. She is very warm hearted, attentive and helpful and as my dad would call her "The government". She taught me all my house-wifey skills as well as social skills. My family loves the company of friends and family, which is why we are hosting lots of BBQs and Dinners as well as birthdays or brunches. I am good in cooking especially in cooking healthy food, however my biggest passion is baking.

My dad is our housekeeper. He takes care of the whole house and all its practical problems. He taught me work that requires handcraft skills and I enjoy helping him around the house. ( I am not saying I can lay water pipes, but for instance I can change all your tires :) ).

I did an exchange year in Vancouver as i already mentioned in my prior text. It helped me in many different ways to built my personality and character. I can speak fluent English, I don't have any problems being alone, I can handle difficult situations, I thankfully don't get homesick even tho I love my fam quiet a loot..

I am happy with my nationality however Germany can sometimes be a bit tight up...
I am hoping that a different family with a different lifestyle and other experiences can teach me and simple give me a different view on life:).
