Letter to the family

Hello, my name is Leia! I am an Ohio State University alumni and I just returned home from the Disney College Program. I've worked as a children's religious school teacher, a hostess, a marketing intern and I spent nine months working at the Be Our Guest restaurant in Walt Disney World. Something you should know about me is I love making friends everywhere I go. This has allowed me to connect with people from all over the world. I once learned Spanish with a Spaniard, as we did our closing side work together. I enjoyed a home cooked meal with my Punjabi friend as thanks for driving her home. I also roomed with a Korean girl, who spent months sharing her culture with me. If given the opportunity to be your Au Pair, I would feel so honored to join your family and I would be very respectful of your rules and way of life. I want to become an Au Pair to experience and learn about another part of the world first-hand. I am qualified for this position because I have extensive experience taking care of children as a nanny, a teacher, and a Disney cast member. I am also willing to continue training and learning to meet expectations.

Experience

I began babysitting in 2013 and have also nannied for two different families. One family included a baby under one, and a three-year-old. The second family included a three-year-old, a five-year-old and a seven-year-old. My experience ranges from infants through elementary schoolers, and I can change diapers and safely bottle feed as well. I was responsible for picking the children up from daycare, and the bus stop, preparing meals, overseeing homework, and entertaining them. I truly enjoy taking care of children because they are so kind natured. I love creating memorable moments, teaching them important lessons, and encouraging them to be kind people. I like playing games, inside and outside, art projects, watching movies, and enjoying meals together. I would like to go abroad to learn more about the world, while continuing the childcare profession that I already enjoy.
