My name is Marnie and I am currently completing my degree at Durham University, from which I will graduate in July. Upon finishing my studies, I am eager to work as an Au Pair.
While my professional experience in childcare is somewhat limited, I have substantial personal experience as an aunt to eight nieces and nephews. Additionally, I serve as the Child Protection Officer and School Liaison Officer for the Durham branch of Expression, a charity dedicated to educating young people on safe and healthy relationships. Through this role, I have visited schools to deliver lessons and hold a current DBS check. Moreover, I spent a year working as a tutor for Tutorful, where I taught English Literature and Language to students aged 15–18, drawing upon my background in English Literature.
I have chosen to become an Au Pair because I find great joy in working with children, especially in supporting their learning and development.
