Dear Future Host,

My name is Alexus, and I’ve lived in the USA for my entire life. I want to become an Au Pair to be able to experience how other people live even if for a short duration. I’ve always been fascinated with different cultures, languages, and so many other things ever since I was a little girl. I have been applying to universities in the US for little over a month now, with getting accepted to a few. I want to major in something with an international aspect because I plan on studying abroad as well! My dream is to teach English as a foreign language to children in different countries. I’m 21 and I went through a lot of things in my life that stunted my growth as a person while I was attending High School, I lost my father, and my brother to COVID-19. That was incredibly hard to deal with, and grief hit me like a bag of rocks, but I’m more than ready now to start fresh with my life and do something exciting. I’m still very close with my sister, she has two little kids of her own. She stayed with us for a little over a year, and I watched her kids while she would go to work. That experience really made me feel more comfortable about watching children, because I hadn’t before and I really just had to adapt but it came to me quickly. I really enjoyed watching her children as we would have very fun days, it was memorable. Although I’m sure that didn’t give me all of the experience you can obtain, I’d like to mention that I am a quick learner, and I adapt very fast to different situations. I’m truly so excited to go through this journey with you!
