Hello! I am Leslie, I was born in Northern California, USA. I’m proud of my heritage, which is Mexican. I am the oldest daughter of 1 brother who is three years younger.
I graduated with an associates degree in psychology, early childhood development and social & behavior science. And now will be graduating with a bachelor’s of science in psychology with an emphasis in applied behavior analysis. But overall my college mentor whose area of study is cross-cultural psychology has taught me the importance of cultural competence and to allow our selfs to think bigger than how we usually do, a sociocultural way of thinking. Being able to work with individuals from different backgrounds will expand this knowledge.
Working in education settings I have been told that I have a good heart with much patience. Children like us adults have hard days, there are moments where it be might hard to comprehend emotions and the world. Children learn as they go and so do we, patience is key when I’m beside children but also within myself:)
