Letter to the family

Dear Family,
I would be delighted to hear from you.

*References available*

I am particularly looking for a farm family or at least a family with animals/pets.
I love animals and I realised I don’t feel complete without. The focus is on the Kids/Person but I would love to help you with the animals/pets/on the farm as well. I am a vet tech, worked on farms in different countries and I have experiences with lambing, rearing calves, milking and so on.

Experience

* Elderly care experiences*

I was in Los Angeles and took care of a 94 years old nice lady.
My tasks were gardening, cooking, running errands and grocery shopping, cleaning, companionship, I made sure she took her medicine and I checked her blood pressure every day.

I love spending time with elderly people in my free time. I‘m just a caring person and love to help people. I often help elderly or people who need help with shopping, cook them meals, bring them to the doctor or just take a walk with them and I love to listen to their stories! It hurts me to see people who are just alone without family so I love to give them companionship.

Since I am a vet nurse I am interested in nursing and medicine and I know things about medication or how to take blood for example.

*Nanny/Aupair experiences*

I've often worked at the kindergarten when I was younger and I took care of twins in Germany (7 months-3years) and a boy (13 months- 2years ) until I left Germany at the beginning of 2015. I spent 5 months in the USA to help friends with their 3 kids ( 5-9 months, 4 and 6 years). I was an Au Pair in Africa on a Farm for 3 months and took care of 2 Kids (Infant, 1 year). I went back to America for one year and took care of three kids again (1,5 twins and a girl 3,5) after that I went to Australia and New Zealand (on a Farm) and was an Au Pair for twins and two girls (baby, toddler) in New Zealand. I lived in Ireland, France and Austria to take care of Kids after New Zealand as well and during lambing season in England.
Back in Germany while working at the Vet again I was a babysitter for my boss’s little girl (5 months- 2,5 years) and a nine year old girl. I left Germany again and went to California to take care of an elderly lady. Right now I am in Canada and I worked on farms and have been taking care of Kids for three different families.

In the last years I’ve been working with kids with a light form of autism, speech delays and I potty trained little kids as well. I was responsible for the kids while the parents were at work and sometimes even almost 24/7.

I really do enjoy spending time with Children, it’s great to play with them or teach them new things and to see them being happy and laugh really warms my heart. I am also still a kid by heart sometimes and I enjoy life and if a Child asks if we want to slide together I will be the first on the slide :) but I also know when to be strict and disciplined. I love going out on adventures with children and explore the world and especially nature. I think that’s very important.

I’m still in contact with my previous host families and miss them very much.
