I have been working with kids since I was 15! I started as an after school caregiver for kids on the autism spectrum during high school and then transitioned into working as a behavioral therapist through the same organization upon graduation. I continue to work as a therapist during my summer vacations from school as well. As a caregiver and therapist, I worked with children between the ages of 3 and 10 on developing their social skills, preparing them for transitions to school, and teaching daily living skills as well. I have also received training in seizure management and a CPR certification from this work. Additionally, I have worked with neurotypical children as well as a teaching assistant at a preschool. I worked in a classroom of 20-30 kids aged 5-7, and I helped the head teacher with classroom management, attending to student conflicts, and implementing small group lessons.

I want to be an au pair because I love working with kids and learning new things! I always feel like I learn as much from the kids I work with as I teach them, and I expect that will be even more true with children from a country different than my own! I am also excited to visit a new place and meet new people, and I can't wait to have new cultural experiences different from my own!
