Hi! My name is Carson and I am a recent college graduate with a B.A. in Anthropology currently working as a Substitute Teacher. I am excited to become an Au Pair to gain more worldly experience and experience a new culture! I love to travel and am passionate about education and fostering inclusive environments and I believe becoming an Au Pair and interacting with a new culture will provide me with new insights into how to do so. I studied French all through my primary education and have continued to practice on my own to maintain my knowledge of the language. Though I am not fluent, I am committed to working towards fluency-- another reason I am interested in becoming an Au Pair. I have two sisters, one older and one younger, and an older brother. We all grew up very close and from a very early age I knew what it meant to look out for and be protective of another being. I am very active-- I love to run, yoga, and being outdoors, but I also love to read and knit! I have been working with children since I was thirteen, when I got my first babysitting job. Since then I have worked as a camp counselor at three different locations, as an afterschool supervisor, and as a substitute teacher at two different schools. I believe my experience makes me very qualified to work as an Au Pair, but beyond my qualifications I simply love to work with children and in childhood development. I want to pursue a Masters in Library and Information Sciences in hopes to become a youth librarian, archivist, and or in collections management and development. I believe you should host me because I am well aware of the responsibilities that come along with childcare and am prepared to be a reliable and enthusiastic guardian to your children.
