Letter to the family
Hello! My name is Louise, I'm 18 years old and I'm from Brazil.
I consider myself a kind, patient, attentive, and well-mannered person. I believe that every child deserves to be treated with respect and care, and I’m committed to helping them grow into empathetic, responsible, and confident individuals. My goal as an au pair is not only to care for your children, but also to help educate and guide them in a respectful way, encouraging emotional intelligence and positive values through everyday interactions.
I'm fluent in English, currently learning Italian, and I enjoy cooking, baking, and keeping things clean and organized. I’m also on my way to getting my driver’s license.
I’m looking for a welcoming family with up to 3 kids (preferably babies or toddlers) as I’m especially passionate about supporting their early development in a safe, nurturing, and respectful environment.
Here are a few things I kindly request:
• a legal working contract
• I won't work with a tourist visa
• no curfew
• a private bedroom (a truly private space, if possible)
• access to a car if needed, depending on where the family lives
• weekends off to rest, recharge and explore
My experience with children began with my own family. I’ve been caring for my nephew since he was a baby — he’s now 4 years old. I started to look after him regularly last year, while my stepbrother was attending university (around 20 hours per week, I dont take care of him regularly anymore), and during that time I learned a lot about patience, responsibility, and how to respond to the needs of a young child. Taking care of him made me realize how much I enjoy being part of a child’s growth and daily routine.
I’m looking to join a family that is organized, values cleanliness, and maintains a respectful and responsible atmosphere. It’s very important to me to be part of a household where everyone respects the agreements and rules made together, as this creates a harmonious, trusting, and positive environment for all. I also hope to work with children who are respectful and willing to listen and follow guidance, as I believe this makes it easier to build a loving and cooperative relationship. Mutual respect between the family, children, and myself is essential for a successful and happy au pair experience. I’m excited to contribute my best to a family that shares these values, so we can grow together in trust and understanding.
I don’t have any allergies or dietary restrictions, and I don’t smoke or drink. I’m a Christian, but I deeply respect all religions and beliefs, and I’m open to living with families from different backgrounds. I believe kindness and respect go beyond any personal differences. One important thing for me is to live in a home that does not tolerate any kind of prejudice — whether racial, ethical, cultural, or of any other kind. I also kindly ask that the family is comfortable with my personal hygiene habits, including frequent showers. I’m happy to help with tasks related to the children, such as doing their laundry, helping with baths, dishes, tidying up their spaces, and other routines. As I wrote would prefer to have weekends off to rest and recharge, but I’m flexible if something needs to be scheduled in advance.
I’m excited to become part of your family and to offer your child(ren) genuine care, support, and a safe space to grow and thrive.
I hope to be your next au pair!
