Letter to the family

Hi I'm Roslyn, I am from a small town in Scotland and I am currently studying politics and international relations and the University of Aberdeen. I've always wondered about the idea of becoming an au pair, the idea of looking after kids, travelling, learning cultures and languages seems really appealing to me. As a lifeguard I'm constantly working with kids, I teach swimming lessons for kids ages 3-10 and enjoy doing so.
I am a kind person who cares for people a lot, I would love to feel like I am part of the host's family and that they trust me.
I enjoy doing sports and outdoor activities, I have a love for swimming and would find it easy to enjoy many activities with kids. I also enjoy simpler things like sitting down for a movie and cooking meals with others.

Experience

I have been an au pair once before in Mallorca for a local family. I looked after 2 children aged 2 and 7. During my time with the family I took the kids to the beach, helped them swim safely and prepared their meals when the parents were not in. The experience taught me so much about myself and allowed me to grow in confidence. Being able to travel the island and experience a new culture was a great way to spend the summer.
