Letter to the family

Hii! My name is Madison, I’m 24 years old, I was born and raised in the United States, but I do have Honduran and Italian in my blood. I have a deep passion for helping others.
I would describe myself as empathetic, artistic, outgoing, and open-hearted. I thrive on meaningful connections and truly believe in the power of community.

Working with children is something I find incredibly special—it teaches you patience, kindness, and the joy of reconnecting with your inner child. I find purpose in nurturing others and offering support where it’s needed most.

I’m interested in becoming an au pair because I want to support a family that values trust, compassion, and connection. I understand the vulnerability of inviting someone into your home and sharing your world, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. Whether it’s helping with household tasks, stepping in when life gets overwhelming, or simply being a dependable presence, I’m here to ease the load in any way I can.

I’m a quick learner, detail-oriented, and intuitive. My strong situational awareness and caring nature have always helped me adapt and support others—whether friends or strangers, I treat everyone like family. I firmly believe that when someone can only give 20%, I can be there to give the other 80%.

If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, capable, and genuinely invested in your family’s well-being, I would be honored to be part of your home and your journey.

Experience

My journey as a nanny began at 17, and it has shaped so much of who I am today.
I started by helping a family friend care for her 12-year-old son—what began as a part-time role quickly turned into a full-time responsibility. As a single mother, she trusted me to pick him up from school, take him to sports practices, help with homework, and prepare dinners when she worked late. I became part of their everyday life, and we built a strong bond that lasted for three years.

As her son grew older, she recommended me to other families, which led me to a nanny position with two young girls, ages 7 and 9. Our connection formed naturally and quickly, and I stayed with that family for two more years. These relationships were more than just jobs—they were part of my heart and growth.

Eventually, I decided to end my gap year and pursue school, aiming for a more traditional career. But I quickly realized that corporate life didn’t align with my personality or passion. I thrive in spaces where I can be hands-on, emotionally present, and helpful in real ways. I find joy in creating calm for others, in being someone they can count on when life feels overwhelming.

Becoming an au pair abroad would not only allow me to continue doing what I love, but it would also offer me the chance to grow personally, learn from another culture, and support a family in a meaningful way. I want to be a comforting presence—someone a family can lean on, trust, and rely on through the ups and downs of daily life. That’s why I’m here: to help, to care, and to make a difference.
