Letter to the family

I've had experience with children from the earliest age, as I'd always wanted younger siblings (in which I have) and with that, I'ved learnt that patience is one of the most valuable attributes to have with children who are still developing. I've been left to be responsible for babies as young as three days old, and what I can guarantee for you as a parent to expect from me is that I'm sincerely caring for children, very sensitive towards them and I believe in firmmness. Every parent has a different parenting style in which I am ready to adjust to because I adapt very well and pick up on behavioral changes and habits very quickly. The idea is to make life easier for you and give you confidence that your child is out of harms way, feeling safe and secured and having the best possible childhood that I can influence. I'm quick on my feet to make decisions, have energy and ready to step in when you need me most - simply because I understand and value that a parents biggest concern and driving force is their child, so I want to guarantee your trust in that.

Experience

I have two sisters, respectively 8 and 3 years old. I am highly involved in their lives because I have the greates value for positively influencing children and I've learnt from my own mother that every child is different and therefore develop differently in which is so important to understand and grow a child's confidence in who they are.
I used to be in boarding school where from 12 years old I was encouraged to go to outreach programs and engage with children from different backgrounds and do some educational based games and the likes. I maintained my consistency by still going to outreach programs in high school where available where I worked with 3 month old babies - 7 year olds in large groups and managed effortlessly. After high school I took a gap year in which I decided to go to volunteer at a Womens and Childrens centre dealing with sick kids, women who've been sexually harassed, children with terminal illnesses, abandoned children, abused and so on. I then started university in 2018 and decided to take part in outreach programs in the inner city of Johannesburg, South Africa where children with psychiatric conditions were kept alongside abandoned. I have a good variation of interactions with children as I also deal with childrens from more priviliged backgrounds such as my siblings and I'm so highly trusted with children that parents who have simply seen my engagement with their children for even a brief moment have trusted that their children will be safe with me, without the presence another supervisor and as a result, I'm constantly being asked to do au pairing in my area code and assist children with homework, communication, and so forth. I want to au pair abroad because I feel confident in my broad experiences with children and would like to take it a step further for myself as it would serve as a turning point in my life uprooting again (I've been in boarding school for most of my life so I am not foreign to change) whilst still having children be a very big part of my life. As much as being an au pair is to the benefit of a parent, it is something I find very fulfilling.
