Letter to the family

Hello! My name is Julia and I am seeking an Au Pair position in the Nederlands or France to learn more about the culture in this region. I love adventure and travel and one of my greatest passions is learning about other people's cultures. I also have a breadth of experience working with as a caregiver in various capacities. I first began babysitting and nannying in my teenage years in the USA. I nannied for numerous families during my time in university and have a strong love for children. I volunteered for an organization in college that provided arts education to low income children in my university community and feel strongly about the role of art, creativity, and play in children's lives. I taught Kindergarten for two years here in the US and also earned my Masters in Education. I then taught for one year in a Montessori School and led the after school Enrichment Program. I have had a great deal of experience not only working with children but crafting educational programs and creative activities to promote learning and emotional growth. I nannied full time for a family of three children during my summer's off from teaching and enjoyed taking them to swimming lessons, gymnastics, the library, hiking, drawing, and baking. I am currently practicing as a Speech Language Pathologist in a healthcare setting with adults but also have experience working with children with language impairments and disabilities. I have worked with children who have Down's Syndrome, autism, and developmental delays. I was also a caregiver for an adult woman with Down's Syndrome and still stay in touch with her. I am a fun loving, patient, kind, hard working, and reliable person. I seek to develop trusting relationships with all people for whom I work and will be a dependable person whom you can entrust your loved ones. I look forward to speaking with you and learning more about your family and your culture!

Sincerely, Julia
