My four years studying pedagogy made me a person very committed to the education of children and education in general, because there are learnings that people explore throughout life. Pedagogy is the part of education that studies different language learning or behavioral disorders, such as autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, language disorder, and disruptive behavior disorder, among others. This last year, while studying my career, I will be doing my university internships at a high school called Institut Terra Alta, where I will learn to work as a pedagogue within the educational center.
As I said, I love children, and I have a lot of experience working with them. Since I was 16 years old, I have been working every summer as a nanny for different children. In addition, I have been a private tutor for two years, from ages 8 to 15. I also have the Dining Room Monitor course. Now, I’m a private teacher of four teenagers.
I want to become an au pair because I think that it's an experience that will change my life. I’m so excited to learn about my host family, their costumes, and the culture in a different country. And you, what are you looking for? How should your ideal au pair be?
I really enjoy caring for children and think that it's non-formal learning and makes me a better person. I also know that there is a lot of responsibility, but I’m ready for that challenge. During my years as a nanny and personal teacher, I’ve learned some skills such as patience, solving problems, creativity, planning, communication skills, empathy, and active listening. Skills that are very important as a pedagogue too.
