Letter to the family

I am a 20 year old girl from Austria (to be exact from the district Styria, where most people associate the pumpkin seed oil and looooots of good wine with ;D), who is looking for adventures and new challenges abroad. I have always lived in the mountains and on the landside which explains my longing for living near the sea and in a city or bigger suburb. But the landscape is not my main aspect to live abroad as an Au Pair, the people are. I thrive for meeting other people and their cultures as well as getting along with children all day long so that I can learn from them and the other way around.

Concerning timetables and working hours I am very flexible (but in my point of view that is self-evident because it will be my job and from my previous experience with kids I know that with children every day differs from the day before and flexibility is all about it). So I am ready totally ready to adapt myself to your routine schedules.
I would love to learn a lot more about your habits and your lifestyle. I would love to get to know your family and especially your children, which would of course be the main reason for my stay abroad.

My expectations from my time as an Au Pair should be relatively easy to fulfill because I am not too demanding. I desire a family which can guarantee me a save space and warm welcome as well as the time for getting into your routine. Fairness, tolerance and itegrity should be a matter of course for both of us. So a place where I can feel like home. Of course opposite to that I would do the utmost to not disturb your daily routines so that it still feels like normal for you in your homespace, but just with an additional family member ;) In general I just want to have a time which is unforgetable - of course in an either positive way x)

Experience

I have experiences with childcare due to the fact that I have 5 younger cousins, of which I have been taking care since I was 8 years old. I got never paid for my work due to the fact that I loved to do that, and I would have never expected my relatives to pay me some money.
I also have 2 weeks experience in a kindergarden, where I also loved working and playing with the toddlers.

In summer holidays I participated in sport programs for younger and this was quite a lot fun.

I also did a work placement in July 2019 in Brighton (UK), where I had to help in music classes for babys and toddlers (which I totally enjoyed) and improved my english skills as well as my self-confidence. With this experience I startet to put more and more interest in programs abroad and therefor, due to the fact that I love interacting with children, I chose Au Pair.

All in all, children are a blessing and that's the reason why I love interacting with them and I think that I am talented in entertaining them and also raising them.
