Letter to the family

My name is Emilly Araujo. I am a Brazilian teacher, missionary, and translator with a deep passion for serving others—especially children. I love creating joyful, meaningful learning experiences and helping people grow with confidence and purpose. For one year, I worked as a teacher in a kindergarten school, where I learned how to engage little ones with love, structure, and creativity. I also serve in my local church with missions and with children’s ministry, which continues to shape me as a patient, nurturing, and responsible leader.

I want to become an Au Pair because I see it as a beautiful opportunity to serve a family, grow personally, and take one step closer to my dream of studying at a missions school in the United States. I believe this experience will not only help me grow in cultural understanding and fluency, but also prepare me for the future God has planned for me—to serve internationally with excellence, love, and wisdom.
If you choose to host me, you’re not just choosing an Au Pair—you’re welcoming someone who will care for your children with genuine love and dedication. I am kind, dependable, and intentional. I bring positive energy, strong values, and a teacher’s heart to every environment I enter. I have experience with young children both in school and church settings, and I’m confident in my ability to support their emotional, physical, and mental development.

I also love to drive and feel comfortable with routines that involve school pick-ups, drop-offs, and errands. Safety and responsibility are priorities to me. I understand that being an Au Pair means becoming part of your everyday life, and I would be honored to be a safe, loving, and uplifting presence in your home.
What qualifies me is not only my professional background but my heart posture. I have taught in a kindergarten school, served in church with kids, translated sermons and conferences, and worked with diverse families in different environments. I speak fluent English and Portuguese, and I’m an excellent communicator. I’m also a safe and confident driver who enjoys being active and organized.

Most of all, I’m ready. Ready to serve, ready to grow, and ready to bless the right family with all I have to offer. I believe that whoever opens their home to me will receive someone who is intentional, joyful, and full of purpose.

Thank you for considering me. I can’t wait to meet the family I’ll call “home” during this special season.

Experience

Although I have not been an official Au Pair yet, I have years of hands-on experience caring for children starting with my own family. I am the oldest of four siblings, and growing up, I played a big role in raising my three younger brothers. My youngest brother, Enzo, who is now 10 years old, was practically my little shadow. I helped with everything, from preparing meals, helping with school tasks, getting him dressed, organizing playtime, to supporting his emotional and spiritual growth.

This experience taught me responsibility, patience, and how to care for a child with genuine love and intention. It wasn’t just about meeting physical needs, but also being a safe emotional space for him, something I carry with me in all my relationships with children.

I want to become an Au Pair abroad because I love the idea of living a cultural exchange that is rooted in service. I believe that caring for children in another country will not only allow me to bless a family with my skills and heart, but also help me grow in maturity, adaptability, and purpose. It’s a way for me to live out my calling, connect with a new culture, and prepare for the future I’m building with God’s guidance, including my dream of studying at a missions school abroad.
