I am an 18-year-old Canadian girl who would love to have the experience of au-pairing for a good family in Switzerland.
I have recently graduated among the top of my grade 12 class in the International Baccalaureate program of the International School of Berne, Switzerland. I am the daughter of a diplomat and have lived in five countries across three continents making me adaptable, tactful, and at ease with people of all cultures and customs. I am a native speaker of both English and French and have acquired basic conversational skills in German.

I am a personable, outgoing, and patient person who enjoys being with children and animals.

I believe I would be welcome in your household as I am a very tidy and responsible person. I would be very pleased to have the opportunity to discuss your family’s needs with you.

Experience

I have been babysitting since I was 12 years old. During my high school years in Bern, I babysat for various Swiss families on a weekly basis, with children ranging from 6 months to 11 years old. I would pick them up from school, prepare meals, help them with homework, do activities with them, do the nighttime rituals, and put them to bed.

My experience also includes pets, as I have lived all my life with dogs and cats. It would be possible for me to do dog walking as part of my duties.
One of my two young step-siblings is autistic, also giving me experience with special needs children.

I would like to become an au pair because I love Switzerland and know the country very well from my four years of living there between 2017-2021. I also have ties to Switzerland, including my older sister who lives in the Zurich area. I believe that this would be a very enjoyable way for me to earn money in preparation for my future studies as a law student.
