Letter to the family

Hey there! My name is Sydney, and I wear many hats—I’m a dedicated lifeguard, an advanced swim instructor, and a crew chief! The water is my second home, and whether I’m teaching, leading, or keeping people safe, I thrive in aquatic environments.

While I may start off a bit reserved, once I feel comfortable, my outgoing and adventurous side shines through. I have a deep love for books and can easily get lost in a great story. But beyond that, I’m always eager to embrace new experiences, dive into exciting challenges, and make the most of everything life has to offer!

I’ve always loved working with children, and becoming an au pair feels like the perfect next step for me. As a lifeguard and advanced swim instructor, I’ve spent years teaching and caring for kids, and I love the connections I build with them. The idea of combining that passion with the opportunity to live in another country, experience a new culture, and grow both personally and professionally is so exciting. I want to immerse myself in a different way of life, form meaningful bonds with a host family, and gain a deeper understanding of childcare in a home setting. Plus, the chance to travel, meet new people, and maybe even learn a new language makes this experience even more appealing. I see being an au pair as an incredible adventure, one that challenges me, helps me grow, and allows me to do what I love in a whole new way.

If you’re looking for an au pair who is kind, patient, and brings a little fun and goofiness into your home, I’d love to be that person for your family! I have years of experience working with children as a lifeguard and advanced swim instructor, so keeping kids safe while making sure they’re having a great time is second nature to me. I truly enjoy engaging with kids—whether it’s helping with homework, playing games, or coming up with silly ways to make everyday routines more fun. I’m responsible and caring, but I also love to bring laughter and joy into the household. My goal as an au pair is to not only support your family but also build a real bond with your children, making their days brighter while giving you peace of mind. I’d be honored to become a part of your family and create memories together!

Being the oldest daughter in my family has given me a natural sense of responsibility, patience, and leadership, as I’ve spent years helping care for younger sibling and relatives. I understand the importance of balancing structure with play, creating a nurturing environment where kids feel supported, safe, and encouraged to grow. My experience working with children in various settings has taught me how to adapt to different personalities and needs, making me a dependable, fun, and caring presence in any household. I would love the opportunity to bring my skills, warmth, and energy into your home as an au pair!

Experience

Being given the chance to au pair abroad would be an incredible opportunity for me to combine my love for working with children with my passion for new experiences. It’s more than just a job—it’s a chance to immerse myself in a different culture, form meaningful bonds with a host family, and grow in ways I never could at home. Living abroad would allow me to step outside my comfort zone, develop greater independence, and gain a fresh perspective on the world. I’m excited by the idea of sharing my skills and energy while also learning from the family I join, embracing their traditions, and maybe even picking up a new language along the way. This experience would be both an adventure and a deeply rewarding journey, shaping me into a more adaptable, culturally aware, and well-rounded person.
