Hey Future host family :)
I am Vera, 19 years old and I am from Groningen (The Netherlands).
I just came back from Italy where I have been an Au Pair for 3 girls. I loved that so much that I want to be an Au Pair again. Working with children is something I really like and what I also want to do in the future. I am probably going to study Psychology or Pedagogy. Last year I did voluntary work at a primary school. I helped the kids with their schoolwork and played guitar and singed songs with them. In Italy I brought the kids to school and picked them up, I teached them English and we did a lot of fun activities together. I also had to walk the dog every day (so I have experience with taking care of pets aswell). I really like making music and art so that are activities I would love to do together with the kids. Being an Au Pair is just perfect for me, because you learn a lot because of the work and besides that you learn about the culture of a new country. I am very interested in traveling, culture, art and architecture so that's why being an Au Pair is such a nice oppurtunity for me.
