Hiya host families,
My name is Natasha, I'm 21 years old mixed British Malaysian, I moved out of Malaysia earlier of 2024 and currently an Au Pair in the UK. I graduated from school 3 years ago and have experience in working in childcare and freelance in event managing. I started my professional journey with different blend of experiences that have allowed me to explore various facets of life. My experiences have enriched my perspective, fostering a deep appreciation for my ability to adapt seamlessly to new environments.

I became an au pair because I believe it offers a unique and enriching opportunity for personal growth and cultural exchange. By becoming an au pair, I can immerse myself in a new environment, experience a different culture firsthand, and build meaningful connections with a host family. This experience will not only allow me to expand my horizons and become more adaptable but also enable me to contribute to the well-being and development of the children under my care.

I am deeply committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for the children I work with. I value the opportunity to be a positive role model and influence in their lives, helping them learn and grow in a loving and supportive atmosphere. My enthusiasm for learning and teaching will ensure that I engage the children in various educational and creative activities, promoting their personal and intellectual development.

I love children and have experience working with children of various age groups, diverse backgrounds and those with special needs. My background includes working as a teaching assistant in early years, babysitting friends' and family's children. I have also tutored primary level English to kids which has equipped me with the skills necessary to care for children's physical and emotional well-being.

Experience

My experience as an Au pair so far has been a roller coaster experience, I spent some time in Romania and France looking after 11 month old baby girl and catering to her needs and supported her while her parents were just jumping back onto focusing on their work - and then I moved onto the UK, as I have family here and able to apply for a British passport so I could stay indefinitely and currently an Au Pair to 3 beautiful kids, 2 with special needs.

My desire to become an au pair abroad stems from my passion for personal growth and cultural exchange. I am excited about the opportunity to learn, teach, and make a positive impact on the lives of both the host family and the children, while simultaneously expanding my own horizons and creating lasting memories and connections. It offers a rich tapestry of personal and cultural experiences that can shape my future and foster a global perspective that will benefit me especially that I come from a diverse country like Malaysia. I'd like to extend my stay in the UK pursuing to be an au pair for another year before I consider going back to school full-time, I want to make the most of my experience and grow on my personal development while I'm out here before I go back to my commitments on the other side of the world.
