Abigail (21 / Ms. ), Canadian, Unemployed living in Canada looking for Au Pair & Nanny job in Canada for 6-24 Months

My name is Abigail (my friends call me AJ), and I'm a Canadian citizen looking to work with children again. I've been recently laid off for lack of work from my daycare, and I'm looking for fulfilling work again! I'm single and relatively untethered, so this is my time to explore what I want to do. I eventually want to be a mother and make a home, and I think working as a Nanny or Au Pair would give me a more realistic idea of what that looks like than a massive childcare centre. We would document very clinically there and speak only in terms of development, and when a child moves up an age group, they all but forget you. I want to take the time and truly build a relationship based on fondness and mutual respect in a more one-on-one setting, and I think this would be a great opportunity to do so. I spent nearly a year working full-time in childcare, and during my free time I was cooking for my busy and tired loved ones and cleaning for my friends who were struggling to keep up with the chores.
