Dear Possible Host Family,

My name is Justine and I am excited about the opportunity to become your Au Pair. I am 17 years old but will turn 18 in May. I come from Germany and have always loved spending time with children. Even though I do not have siblings of my own, I have gained a lot of experience taking care of my friends' younger siblings, tutoring privately, and looking after children from our school in the afternoons. These experiences have made me realize how much I enjoy working with kids, and I would love to dedicate more time to it during my Au Pair year.

I close to finishing my Abitur, which takes most of my time currently, so I couldn’t do as much childcare as before. Now I want to take a break from studying and fully focus on an Au Pair experience. In the future, I am considering becoming a teacher in Germany or working in international relations, but for now, I want to explore a new culture, improve my language skills, and be part of a family abroad.

Besides my love for working with children, I enjoy horse riding and have been doing it for several years. I also play table tennis and, for a while, practiced standard dancing. Another passion of mine is music—I love going to concerts and experiencing live performances, as music plays a big role in my life. I love being active and trying new things, and I would be happy to share my interests with your family and learn about yours!

At school, I am also a "Vertrauensschüler", which means I was a student others could turn to for advice and support in various conflicts. As part of this role, I received special training in communication, conflict resolution, and first aid. This experience has helped me develop strong problem-solving skills, empathy, and the ability to stay calm in challenging situations—all of which I believe are valuable when working with children.

You should host me because I am caring, responsible, and eager to help. I enjoy engaging with children, whether through playing, assisting with homework, or simply spending time together. I am also adaptable and open-minded, willing to help with light household tasks, and excited to be part of your daily life.
