My main reason I want to become an au pair is because I’m excited to explore new countries and cultures, improve my language skills, and have an opportunity to connect with children in a meaningful way. It’s a chance for me to get out of my comfort zone and my little bubble and to experience life in a new country while also helping a family and learning from them as well. I always enjoy spending time with children even if that’s just playing games or doing homework. Being an au pair allows me to do this on a daily basis while also forming a strong bond with the children I care for. One of my goals for being an au pair is that this experience helps me build my confidence and open my eyes to new cultures and see new countries I’ve never seen or been before. I’ve planned my au pair stay at this point of my life because I want to take a break from my traditional education and explore new opportunities. This will give me time to grow, learn and discover more and new things about myself.
