Letter to the family
Who am I?
First and foremost, I love children. I feel they are the purest thing there is: their simplicity, their authentic way of seeing the world, and their sense of wonder inspire me so much. I've always loved spending time with them, taking care of them, and learning from their natural way of life.
I'm young, enthusiastic, full of energy, and eager to learn, work, travel, and experience new cultures. I just finished college and am at that point in my life where I want to go out into the world, grow, and have real and meaningful experiences. I've always dreamed of living in Italy—since I was little, I've been fascinated by its language, its culture, its people—and now that this opportunity to become an Au Pair presented itself, it felt like the perfect way to begin this new phase.
Why do I want to be an Au Pair?
Because it seems like an incredible way to get to know a country from the inside. Traveling isn't the same as living and sharing daily life with a local family. I'm incredibly excited about the idea of being part of an Italian family, living together, learning their language naturally, and contributing whatever they need. I like being active, feeling useful, and connecting with people, and this experience brings all of that together.
Why should the family host me?
Because I'm a trustworthy, active, resourceful person with tons of positive energy. I love getting involved in activities, helping out, learning quickly, and adapting. I always give my best in everything I do, and I believe I can bring joy, commitment, and good vibes to any home. I'm also very responsible and take seriously the opportunity to care for the most valuable thing: children.
Why am I qualified for the position?
Because I consider myself a well-rounded person: with skills, values, life experience, and a strong desire to contribute. Everything I've learned—at university, at work, and in life itself—has made me committed, responsible, and empathetic. This experience is not only an adventure for me, but also the first step toward a bigger plan: studying for a diploma or master's degree in Italy. So you can count on me for the long term, with all my energy, love, and willingness. I've never been an au pair before, but I've always wanted to have this experience, and I feel this is the perfect opportunity to do it.
As for childcare, I love it. Since I was 16, I've cared for my cousin, whose godmother I am. From the moment she was born (she was premature and needed special care), I was very present, supporting my aunt with everything she needed: changing her, feeding her, playing with her, putting her to sleep, and keeping her company. I took turns with my aunt caring for her and keeping an eye on her. Over the years, I've created a very strong bond with my cousin, and that experience taught me a lot about responsibility, empathy, and how special it is to accompany a child as they grow. I would describe myself as a very active, curious, and energetic person. I love learning new things, exploring new places, adapting, and always seeking the best out of every experience. I'm sociable, positive, committed, and I like being active, both mentally and physically.
My favorite hobbies include being outdoors, walking my dog, boxing, watching movies, writing, researching topics that interest me, and spending time with friends and family. But above all, I'm passionate about exploring: traveling, discovering new places, living different experiences, and getting away from the routine.
After my time as an Au Pair, I would like to continue in Italy, either volunteering, studying a course, or earning a master's degree. My interests are strongly focused on topics related to animals, the environment, research, and documentation, so I would love to find an opportunity that combines these topics with my desire to continue growing personally and professionally.
